Responsabilities

Develop innovative concepts to create and integrate new technologies
Program industrial PCs and operator screens
Design schemas and electrical circuits
Design plans and prepare quotes in accordance with CSA/UL standards
Coordonnate the evolution of designs with the mechanical engineering department
Produce final drawings and reference manuals associated with delivered equipment
Take measurements and perform diagnoses in the industrial sector
Present requests to the buyer to furnish electrical & control parts
Use and improve methods and procedures to internal work processes
Participate in securing equipment according to the standards in place and occupational health safety
Create prototypes and perform tests during experimentation phases
Test equipments before delivery and ensure initial operations for clients on-site
Manage certain projects, including R&D
Propose solutions to improve processes and structure projects in the goal of reducing costs
Ability of working in the context of a multi-discipline team and participating in idea exchanges

Skills

Member in good standing of the Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec
Necessary experience in the desgin of schemas and elctrical circuits in the manufacturing or industrial sector
Good knowledge of various types of motors, including servomotors, motor controls and mechatronics
Knowledge of AutoCad (Draftsight, an asset)
Experience in automate programming (Beckoff, an asset)
Available to travel occasionally (locally, throughout Canada, the United States and overseas) to install and perform initial equipment start-up
